Good Morning All

Here is another of my makes for the Colourific Design Team.  You can find these stamps on the Colourific Website : https://colourific.co.uk/shop?olsPage=products

I had never heard of Artist Trading Coins until I saw my fellow DT members showing them.  This is a great idea for using up all the scraps.

For the card, I stamped the Seasons Text stamp onto pink card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I wrapped a ribbon round twice and tied it off.

I used some Inks to colour a piece of white card.  When this was completely dry, the flower was stamped to the side of the card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder.  I used the more of the ink from my pallet to add deeper shades of pink on the flower and added fine splashes of pink ink onto the white space.

When it was completely dry, I attached the pink border and flower panel onto a piece of pink card then layered this onto a 6 x 6 card.  I added some pink gems to finish it off.

For the Artist Trading Coin, I cut out 2 x 2.5 inch layers of thick card and glued them together.  I had a piece of pink card that I tried to foil with the Seasons Text background.  It didn't foil properly, but I was able to cut a 2.5 inch circle from the best part and glue it onto the thicker circle and inked the edges.  I used a die to cut out a hessian piece and trimmed it down.  I stamped the "Blossom" flower onto white card and embossed with Silver Glitter embossing powder and used the remainder of my ink to colour it pink.  I finally stamped the stem with green ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I built up the coin using layers and raised the flower to give depth.  Finally I stamped out a sentiment from my stash and cut the words up and mounted them onto the coin.

Thank you for looking xx

Birthday Wishes

Hello,

Spent the morning in the craft room, making this little card for my friends birthday.  I used some dies and stamps from Stamps By Me for this one.

Cut out the die in white card and matted it onto some black card.  Attached a ribbon around the centre of this piece, then glued this onto an 8x8 White Card Blank.

Cut out a Blue, Black mat and attached onto card.

Cut out a smaller mat on stamping card.  Used some inks to splodge on some blue and yellow and added some black splats then attached to the main card.

Stamped and embossed the "Floral B" in black ink, coloured with Alcohol markers and fussy cut it out.

Stamped and embossed the sentiment, cut it into a banner and matted onto blue card.

Attached Sentiment to the Floral B and added both to the card using foam pads.

Finished off with a Bow.

Thank you for looking.

Good Morning All

This is what I made for my first Design Team Blog for Colourific.  I have used the A6 Sports Car stamp set for my first card.

·         I used a stencil to ink through the corners of a background paper and matted it onto a piece of navy card.
·         Stamped the wheels/cogs from the same stamp set to make the little background panel and a very old background map stamp from my stash (I have no idea where it came from) for the other panel.  These were both matted onto navy card.
·          The  car was stamped and coloured with copic markers and fussy cut.  I used Glossy Accents in the windows and along the trim and round the wheels of the car.
·          Used some glitter card and matted it onto navy card for the border.
·          Finally I stamped the “Life in the Fast Lane” stamp from this set onto white card and embossed and matted onto navy card.

Beautiful - Giraffe

Hello Everyone

Just purchased this Giraffe Stamp from Pink Ink Designs.  They have some fabulous stamps which you can purchase it lots of craft shops online.  This isn't for anyone in particular, I just wanted to use the stamp.

This is a fabulous stamp, and stamps fabulously.  Stamped the Giraffe onto Watercolour card, then use Alcohol Markers, to colour in.  Added some of the leaf and flower stamps around the edge of the card to make a border.  Matted this onto rose gold glitter card and attached to the card base.  Used the leaf stamp and stamped several then fussy cut out and arranged down the side.  Added some gems for sparkle and a bow to finish off.  Not sure who will receive it, but someone will.

Thanks for looking.

Thomas The Tank Engine 30th Birthday Card

Was asked to make a 30th Birthday Card with a Thomas Theme.  I found an SVG cutting file for the Thomas the Tank Engine and the track.  But what to do with it?

After some consideration, I decided, it would be good to see him coming out of a tunnel.  Trouble was the track was too long for this.  I then decided it would be an Easel Card.  Here is the finished effort.

I scored an 8x8 card blank down the middle of one side to make the easel. I matted and layered navy and light blue card onto an 8 x8 piece of card, the glued this onto the half side of the easel card.  I used shapes in my Scan n Cut to make the tunnel and cut it out of brick background paper.  I used foam pads to mat the brick tunnel onto  a grey layer and a solid black layer to give the tunnel the impression of depth, then glued it onto the card base. I used the Scan n Cut to cut Thomas in various colours, pieced him together then added to the inside of the tunnel.  I added the track to the bottom and cut off the excess and put aside.  I used green parchment paper and hand cut out layers of grass for the side of the tunnel.  I matted and layered Light Blue and Pearl White Paper onto the bottom half of the easel, then glued on the extra piece of track.  I cut out "Son-in-Law" "Tom" and "30 Today" on my Scan n Cut and layered them together, and glued them on the card.  I had cut clouds and smoke and shaded them before gluing them onto the card.  I added a bow and a small 30, to finish it off.

Colourific Design Team

I am so excited, I recently found out that I have been chosen to be a part of the Design Team for Colourific.  This is a stamp company that I found at the SECC in November 2018.  I love their stamps and have purchased around 11 sets to date.  I am excited to start my first Design Team journey.

I even have a badge to add to my work.

In The Night Garden

I was asked to make a 2nd Birthday Card, with an "In the Night Garden" theme.  Here is my finished Card.

I matted and layered a 7.5x7.5 in multi coloured spot background paper onto a 7.75 x 7.75in piece of red card. I cut a piece of Acetate 1cm wider than the red card.  I scored the acetate .5cm in at each end and put red liner tape down each side.  I attached this to the background piece and this gave a domed finish.  I cut a piece of Acetate a centimeter wider that the card. I used scraps of card to Cut out a layered "Ella" name and layered them together. I glued "Ella" down the right hand side of the card. I cut out the layered No. 2 in White, Mat Metallic Red, and Glitter Green Card on my Scan and Cut and glued this evenly spaced to the opposite side of the card.  I found a cutting file for Iggle Piggle and cut it out and layered in together and placed if to the left hand side, slight over the No. 2.  I foiled the word "Granddaughter" on the Scan n Cut, and cut it into a banner shape and layered onto scrap card.  Finally I cut out 3 Balloons and foiled the sentiments on my scan n cut.

Facebook - Beginners Cardmaking Challenge

A new challenge on  Beginners Cardmaking Group on facebook.  The challenge was to make a card using a background paper of your choice and this sketch.  No Stamping allowed, other than a sentiment.

This was my take on the sketch.  Used a 6x6 card blank and a 6x6 cupcake background.  I trimmed the background paper to fit the card and glued it on.  Used a Tattered Lace die and cut it out 5 times, with White, Pink, Purple, Yellow and Green card.  I used the white as a base and paper pieced the other colours in for the icing on top, and the purple for the cupcake wrapper.  Cut out a banner in purple and pink, embossed the pink one with a "Happy Birthday" embossing folder and layered it on top of the purple one.  Glued the banner onto the background paper and used pinflair gel to raise the shaped cupcake onto the card.  Stamped Happy Birthday onto white card and embossed with black embossing powder.  Cut it into a banner and glued onto a pin and inserted into top of cupcake.
