Tonic Shutter and Tonic Layering Dies

Good Evening,

I promised myself that I would try and keep my blog up to date, but I'm not doing so good!!!!  Where do the hours in the day go, and worse still, where do the days in the weeks go!  Time is just flying past.

I got my new Tonic Shutter Dies, and Layering Dies in the post on Friday.  Just manage to find some time to play with them today.  Actually, I wasn't playing, I was in fact making cards for my next door neighbour.  Here are some pictures of the end result.

This one was made using the Shutter Card Dies.  I found this a bit difficult to master, but now that I have done it, it will be easier the next time.  I used some other tonic dies on this too, along with some Images from the Fabulous Fashion CD.  I enjoyed doing this, but it took me a little while.

This one was made using the Circle Layering Die.  This is a huge die set, with 12 dies in total.  Was trying to do something different with this one, but the end result was not what was in my head to start with.  Anyway, I quite like the result.  The photograph makes it look lopsided, but in reality its quite straight.

Not a lot of housework done today!

Simple Wedding Invitation

Good Evening

Last post for the night.  I was asked by one of the parents in my daughters previous school if I could make her a simple invitation for her wedding.  Simple is not always easy for me, so I kind of struggled with this.  Made her some samples to view and this is the one she choose.  Made 105 of these for her.

A wee bit simple for me, but she loved them.

50th Birthday Card

My Sister asked me to make a 50th Birthday Card for her friend, who is also a crafter.  Made an Accordion Card using dies I have purchased on Amazon, but they are a little on the small side for me.

I found an Accordion SVG cutting file on the internet and took that into Scan'n'Cut Canvas where I adjusted the sizes and made a bigger cutting file.  I added it to my data stick and imported it into my Brother Scan and Cut, which incidentally, has no name.

Here is the end result.  I just love this little card.

The photographs just not do it justice!

21st Birthday - "Cocktail Accordian Card"

Good Evening

It's been a while since I have been on here, but I am going to try and keep things up to date and post something at the very least once a week.

I was asked by a friend to make a 21st Birthday Card for her Daughter.  The theme was to be "Cocktails" and her favourite colour is Orange.  This instantly made be think of Calypso colour scheme.   I like to think a little bit outside the box and am always trying to do something different.   I had just purchased a set of Accordion Card Dies, so here is what I came up with.

Not sure my photographs do it justice, but I was very happy with the end result.  As you can see, I am not a minimalistic type of card maker.
