Hand Stamped Giraffe Lunch Bag

Hello Everyone

Had some spare time so I spent it in my Craft Room.  I love the Pink Ink Design Giraffe Stamp and thought I would have a go at stamping on a fabric bag.

I'm not sure just how well I have completed this, but I loved doing it.

This will be a new lunch bag for my Sister.  Here's hoping she likes it.

Friendship makes Life more Beautiful

Good Morning

How did we get to the last week in August so quickly.  I guess it's getting to that time where I need to think about Christmas Cards.  Maybe I'll wait until middle of September!!   Thought I would have a go at some up cycling this week.  I have had a few empty reels from Red Liner tape in the Craft Room for a few weeks.  What to do with them?  This is what I came up with.

Materials Used:

A5 Hibiscus Stamp Set
A6 Leaves Stamp Set
Sentiment Stamp
Black Embossing Powder
Piece of Spotted Green background paper
Copic Pens
Nuvo Drops
Empty Red Liner Reel
Length of Natural Jute
Piece of Ribbon
Gems

  • Wrapped the Empty Reel with the Jute.
  • Added the piece of ribbon to top to make a hanger
  • Stamped 1 middle and 2 small hibiscus stamps.  Coloured 2 small ones with yellows and middle one with Purples, then fussy cut out.
  • Stamped 4 leaves in various colours and fussy cut out.
  • Using a circle die, I cut out a piece of background paper that fitted on the back of the reel.  Stamped the sentiment in the middle of the paper and embossed with Black embossing powder.
  • Glued circle piece onto the back of the reel. Arranged and glued flowers around reel.  Added butterfly onto opposite side.
  • Finished off with some gems from my stash.

Thank you for looking.

Happy Birthday - Black Ice Technique

Hi Everyone

Third week in August already, and the Scottish schools are all back!  Hand another play with Colourific Kaleidoscope Stamps this week.  You can find this and many more stamps here

Materials Used:

A6 Kaleidoscope Doily Stamp
6 x 6 White Card Blank
5.75 x 5.75 Black Mat
5 x 5 Glitter Card
4.5 x 4.5 Black Mat
4.25 x 4.25 Gold Mirri Mat
Sentiment Stamp
Couple of Circle Dies
Stazon Ink Pad
Versamark Ink Pad
Clear Embossing Powder
Gold Embossing Powder

  •    Matt larger Black, Gold Giltter Mat onto white card blank.  Using foam pads add            small black mat onto card.
  •   Using stays on ink, hold it lightly and drag it down along the length of the gold mirri      mat.  Add a little extra black Stazon at the top and bottom edges of mirri card.              Stamp the Kaleidoscope Doily onto the centre of the mirri card.  Ensure all ink of          mirri card is dry before moving onto next step.
  •   Using the Versamark ink pad drag it from top to bottom of mirri card. Ensuring you        do not overlap.  Do not push down on ink pad, let the weight of the ink pad do the        work.
  •   Sprinkle clear embossing powder all over the heat with heatgun.  This produces the      iced look.
  •   Mat the finished piece onto the raised black mat.
  •   Stamp the smaller circle with your greeting and emboss (I also embossed the                outside edge of the circle).  Using foam pads add this to the larger circle and glue        onto centre of doily.
Thank you for popping by to look.

Christmas Girls Night Out

Good Morning

Adding a sneaky little extra post this morning.  I had some fun with a few Colourific Stamps sets when making this one:

A5 Girls Night Out
A6 Moderne Flowers
A5 Mr & Mrs Snow
A5 Peace and Joy

  • Stamped the show 3 times, once on patterned paper, once on glitter card and once of mirri card.  Did a bit of fussy cutting and paper pieced together in layers.
  • Stamped the moderne flowers 3 times in red mat mirri card and fussy cut.  Stamped the moderne flowers again 3 times on heat resistant acetate and embossed with gold powder.
  • Stamped out the Christmas branches 5 times with 2 different colours of green ink.
  • Layered up the flowers
  • Cut out some 2 red, 2 white and 1 gold glitter mat in various sizes.  Embossed the smallest white mat with a holly embossing folder to add some dimension.
  • Arranged all the mats onto the card base, adding foam pads so some to raise them up.
  • Built up the 2 layers of flowers with pinflair glue.
  • Added the branches around the side of the card and added the flowers on top.
  • Added the shoe with foam pads and some glue gel.
  • Finally stamped out the Christmas Wishes sentiment and die cut with a die from my stash.

#Fantasyfest 5 Day Challenge

Good Morning

Entered the Fantasy 5 Day Challenge to make a card a day for 5 days.  This challenge had 5 different themes.

Unicorns and Dragons
Steampunk
Fairies
Quilling
Goth

A few interesting options in there and to be honest, some of them freaked me out.  But I had a go:

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

 Day 4

Day 5

I found the Steampunk, Quilling and Gothic to be quite challenging, as they are not my normal kind of cards.  But challenge is now complete and I got there in the end.

Music - 30th Birthday Card

Hello

My youngest daughter has severe learning difficulties.  She was invited to one of her friends 30th Birthday Parties.  I made this card using my Scan n Cut and some dies.  I also made a Money Gift Wallet too.  This wasn't enough for my daughter as she wanted to hand over a gift!   What to do?  I used my Scan n Cut and made the Guitar Image with her friends name through the middle.  I cut this in Vinyl and attached it to a Water Bottle.

Hibiscus Blossom and Grow Crate - A5 Hibiscus Clear Stamp Set

Good Morning Everyone

Where do the weeks all disappear to?  This week I had a little play with the A5 Hibiscus clear stamp set from Colourific.  This is a lovely stamp to use, and I love all the little swirls and stamens that come with it.  I decided to make a Popup Box Crate with this set and here it is:-

You will find this and all of the stamps used on the Colourific Website here.

Materials Used

A5 Hibiscus Clear Stamp Set
A6 Leaves Clear Stamp Set
A6  Moderne Flowers Stamps Set
A6 Blossom and Grow Stamp Set
Pieces of scrap Acetate
White Card
Scraps of Patterned Paper
Some Die Cut Butterflies
Double Sided Red Tape
Glitter
Gems

  • Stamped 4 of the large and 4 of the small Hibiscus Flowers in different coloured inks.  Also stamped various sizes of flowers from the Moderne Flowers onto scraps of patterned paper.  All flowers were fussy cut and attached to small strips of Acetate with double sided tape.
  • Stamp out various sizes and shapes of the A6 Leaves using different coloured inks to shade the leaves.  These were fussy cut out.
  • The flowers, and some of the leaves were attached to small strips of Acetate with the double sided tape.
  • The box is made using:-
    8 - 6in x 1/2in strips (long sides)
    8 - 2in x  1/2in strips (short side)
4 - 3.75 x 1in strips, scored at 1/2 in down long side (for corners)
    2 - 7in x 1/2 in strips, scored at 1/2in and 6.5 in (for inside slats)
Box is assembled to look like a crate as in the picture.
  • Add the flowers, leaves and butterflies whichever way you wish, making sure that when you fold the box flat it will still go in the envelope.
  • Added some gems and glitter to the centre of the flowers to add some sparkle, then finished off with the Blossom and Grow sentiment.
See you all again next week.  Thank you for looking.
